Your mom's having a baby. Congrats! Maybe you aren't happy though. This is how to cope for the next 9 months.
Steps
1
Understand your mom and the baby. Your mom is probably going to be sick for the first weeks. She will get real big. Though she will only be like this for nine months.
2
The first 2 months. Mom will be vomiting. No worries! Your mom is just ready to make a baby. She will probably not gain a lot of weight and might be a little tired or moody.
3
Months 3-4. She will probably have a small belly which is not too easy to notice. She will still get a little sick. If you are worried about having a new brother or sister, ask your mom if you two can talk. It's better to sort it out now rather then later on.
4
Months 5-6. Your mom's belly is getting larger. She will probably get a sonogram and you will be able to see the baby or babies. If you want to pat your mom's belly, ask her. She will probably have back pain so if your mom drops something pick it up for her. Your mom will also start planning the nursery.
5
Months 7-8. Your mom is probably huge by now. She will probably be paying a lot of attention to the baby. Don't worry, just try to be helpful. She will start waddling and have pains. Give her a hug every now and then.
6
Month 9. Your mom probably has baby names. This month is the month your baby brother or sister will be born so your mom will be very nervous.
7
Birth. Your mom will be at the hospital for a while. Maybe you will be able to see the baby. Your mom will be weak and not feeling so good for a while.
8
After Birth. The baby will get a lot of attention. Play and have fun with your little sibling. Give him/her lots of love.
9
Support her and make her feel the greatest. It is a great experience for the whole family but don't stress the mom out.
