When you start to walk or run, do you feel dizzy or like you might throw up? If so you're probably too sick to work out.
Do you have a bad headache? If so you're too sick to work out
Have you taken any medicine that might make you tired? If so do not get on any workout equipment or you might get hurt.

Determine if you have a fever.

If you have these symptoms you're too sick to work out, headache, stomachache, fever, throwing up, chicken pox, or if you just feel unwell.
Tips
If you are sick eating some warm chicken soup might help.
If you are really sick but you still want to get your daily work out, then lifting tiny weights would probably be your best bet.
Warnings
Never over work yourself if you are sick. When you're sick your body needs rest to get better.
Never work out if you are tired because of possible injury.
